Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory - GLERL's Mission is to conduct integrated interdisciplinary environmental research in support of resource management and environmental services in coastal and estuarine waters, with a special emphasis on the Great Lakes.
Information Processing Division - IPD processes data from NOAA's Polar and Geostationary satellites, producing meteorological, environmental, and climatic products for a host of users worldwide.
National Hurricane Center Tropical Prediction Center - maintains a continuous watch on tropical cyclones over the Atlantic, Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and the Eastern Pacific from May 15 through November 30, and issues watches, warnings, forecasts, and analyses of hazardous weather conditions in the tropics.
National Ice Center - to provide worldwide operational sea ice analyses and forecasts for the armed forces of the U. S. and allied nations, for the Departments of Commerce and Transportation, and other U. S. Government and international. agencies, and for the civil sector.
Northwest Fisheries Science Center - responsible for providing scientific and technical support for the management, conservation, and development of the Pacific Northwest region's anadromous and marine fishery resources.
